Welcome back to planDisney, Margaret.
Margret, I completely understand your concern about
temperature screening at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. At this time, guest's temperatures are not taken when they enter a resort hotel, only at the entrance of each theme park and Disney Springs. While temperatures are not taken at any Walt Disney World Resort hotels, every hotel has instituted many
other policies to keep guest safety the absolute top priority.
First and foremost, each room will undergo an
enhanced cleaning before your arrival, paying attention to high-touch areas. Amenities will be securely wrapped in plastic once they have been sanitized so that you know they are safe. Additionally, to further reduce contact,
housekeeping has started doing a light cleaning every other day as opposed to a full clean every day. If you would prefer, you are also able to decline housekeeping services altogether.
The thing that makes me feel the safest at Walt Disney World Resort hotels is that each and every person over the age of 2-years is required to wear a
face covering when out of their hotel room and not in the pool. Additionally, dining in your resort's quick service location is going to be done primarily be through
mobile ordering as well.
Margaret, each person has their own comfort level when it comes to safety, and while I can say that I believe Walt Disney World Resort is doing everything they possibly can to make visiting a safe and fun experience for everyone, only you know if the time is right for you.
I hope that this helped make your decision, Margaret. Whenever you are ready, the magic of Walt Disney World Resort will be here waiting for you.
See you real soon!
