Most all resorts are booked up for dates Feb 13-17... is it possible to find an availability to open up over next few days? What is your advice? My kids have Friday and Monday off from school, so its the perfect weekend for us to go. #passholders

Hi Shannon!  Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How fun that you are planning a last-minute getaway!  I know I can't wait to trade the snow and ice here in Illinois with some Florida sunshine.

I'm sorry to hear you have been having trouble finding availability at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  I know many school districts, like yours and mine, schedule a 4-day weekend around the Presidents Day holiday.  Many other schools across the country have at least a 3-day weekend.  I think many people are on the same wavelength, trying to take advantage of the long weekend to escape to Walt Disney World Resort.  I have a couple of ideas you might try.  Even though it seems counter-intuitive, perhaps try adjusting your dates so your visit is a night or two longer.  Sometimes I see more availability for a longer trip than a shorter one.  Another idea would be to look for one night at a time and book multiple reservations.  I did this once for a last-minute trip, and fortunately, I did not need to change rooms even though each night was booked as a separate reservation.  Also try searching with and without special offers, and be sure to sign in to your Disney account when searching to look for any passholder-exclusive offers.  In addition to the official hotels of Walt Disney World Resort, there are many additional hotels in the area, some of which offer benefits such as Extra Magic Hours, so check with those as well.

I definitely recommend calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations in addition to searching online to see what might be available.  One last suggestion would be to check travel sites such as Priceline; sometimes there are last-minute deals for Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

Good luck, Shannon!  I hope you are able to find a way to make this trip happen.  Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you might have.  We are always happy to help.
