Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Curt!
Thank you for stopping by with your very first question. It is a pleasure to assist you as you plan a Disney adventure!
I am happy to hear you are considering
bringing your furry friend to The Most Magical Place on Earth. There are currently four Disney Resorts Collection hotels that offer dog-friendly accommodations, including
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside,
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort.
Rooms assigned to Guests staying with their dogs offer access to outdoor walkways that can be used for exercise and to green spaces with pet relief areas. Your best pal is in for a big surprise, as all dogs staying at the abovementioned resorts are greeted with a special kit sent by Pluto! A maximum of two dogs are currently permitted per Guest room, and they must be well-behaved, properly vaccinated, and always leashed when in public areas. Please note that other than service animals, furry friends are not permitted at the parks, water parks, and common areas such as restaurants, pools, and recreational areas.
Since accommodations are limited, I recommend planning well in advance to secure a dog-friendly room in the Disney Resort hotel of your choice. Although your pet can stay in your room during the day, I recommend looking into the services offered by Best Friends Pet Care, a full-service pet care facility where your dog can spend the day and enjoy fun activities while you explore the theme parks. If you have additional questions, please
contact the Walt Disney World Resort for assistance.
I hope this information is helpful, Curt. I am "
pawsitively" sure you will have a great time with your dog at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
