Hi Joseph!
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Let’s make sure you get the best chance at snagging those Lightning Lanes you have your heart set on.
You’re correct as long as you’ll be staying at a Disney World resort or a select good neighbor hotel! At this time, guests of those resorts can
purchase and book Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to their check-in date.
So, in your case, your booking window should open on June 30th at 7 AM Eastern if your check-in date is July 7th. As a resort guest with a valid park ticket, you will be able to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass for your entire trip (up to 14 days).
I usually like to book my Lightning Lanes for the end of my trip first, and then work my way backward. That gives me a better chance at getting those hard-to-get Lightning Lane return times. The only time I veer from that strategy is if I have a popular Lightning Lane in mind that’s a high priority earlier on in my trip. In that case, I’ll tackle that day first when I’m going through the booking process.
I also recommend having your game plan written down before your booking window opens, including which days you’ll be visiting which parks and what Lightning Lanes you’d like to book. Remember, you can always modify your Lightning Lanes at any time leading up to your trip and on your park day.
One last thing before I let you go! Prior to your booking window opening, make sure you’re connected to your travel party through your Family & Friends List and that everyone has a valid park ticket linked to their
My Disney Experience account. That way, the booking process will go smoothly.
I hope that helps! Come back to visit us with any other questions you have!
