I have resort reservations. How do I add a dining plan? I plan on purchasing park tickets via my local MWR.

Hi, Maria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. The Disney Dining Plans add so much convenience to our Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Instead of worrying about heading back to make dinner for my family, I just make a dining reservation for each evening and keep on having fun. My husband really appreciates that having the dining plan means he can order whatever he likes on the menu. That huge steak? It is covered by the dining plan! Want to be a bit indulgent and include that delicious looking dessert? Use those plan entitlements and go for it!

The Disney Dining Plans can easily be added to a Disney Resort Vacation Package that includes Disney Theme Park Tickets. However, you can still include one of the dining plans with your room reservation if you plan to purchase your tickets elsewhere. To do so, you will need to call and speak with a Disney Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member. Please note that your reservation will remain a room reservation only and will not convert to a Disney Resort Vacation Package, so you will not be eligible for Magical Extras entitlements that normally come with a package.

Have you made all of your dining reservations yet? If you plan to add on one of the plans that include Table Service meal entitlements, then you will want to make sure you make those reservations. There are lots of spots that fill quickly, so you will want to make them as soon as possible. Have a dining location in mind that does not have availability? I encourage you to keep looking because guests frequently change their plans, especially in the weeks and days leading up to their vacation.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
