Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dee! We are glad you brought your question to us.
I know in many ways, 2020 does not look at all as we expected it to, and that of course includes our vacation plans.
In an effort to manage theme park capacity and foster physical distancing, Walt Disney World Resort has introduced the
Disney Park Pass system. All Guests will need valid admission and Disney Park Pass reservations for theme park entry. Theme park reservations will be limited due to attendance limitations. New ticket sales have been temporarily paused to focus on Guests with existing tickets. Recently room rates and vacation packages for dates in 2021 became available for booking, however, at this time tickets and new resort reservations for 2020 are not available.
Sales of 2020 tickets will resume, based on the availability of park reservations, later this summer. We do not have more specific information on when that might happen.
I have a similar situation with a trip planned for later this year. Not everyone in my travel party has tickets at this time. We have already discussed experiencing a different type of (more relaxing!) Walt Disney World Resort vacation, where we enjoy the pool and other amenities of our resort, as well as dining experiences that are available at the Disney Resort Hotels and
Disney Springs.
We've seen quite a few announcements and
updates about
Returning to a World of Magic over the past few weeks, and I am hopeful that perhaps we might hear something soon about 2020 ticket sales. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements, as well as the "
Know Before You Go" information for Theme Parks and Tickets. Of course, you are always welcome to check back with us to see if we have any updated information as well.
