    Resort reservation deposit policy

Welcome to planDisney, Dana! How exciting that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World all the way from Hawaii! The initial planning is my favorite part; I love researching different hotel options and planning my park days.

One of the awesome things about booking your Walt Disney World vacation on the website is that you can reserve your reservation with just a $200 deposit. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival, and you can make payments at any time on the MyDisneyExperience website. Your vacation package is also fully refundable up until 30 days before travel, should something unforeseen make you alter your plans.

Once you book your vacation package, you will want to be sure to create your MyDisneyExperience profile and link your reservation. Once that is done, you can make your theme park reservations for your trip. I know it is a lot to think about right away, but these can usually be changed, so I recommend booking them ASAP.

Did you know that you can print Walt Disney World park maps? This might be helpful as you plan as well. My friend, Tamela, explains how to do this in a planDisney answer here

I hope this helps with your vacation planning! Please come back to planDisney with other questions that come up as you continue your planning journey.

    Happy Traveling,

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
