Which resort would you recommend for a senior citizen? Would Wild Kingdom be a good choice or another resort you could suggest?

    Hiya Carol,

It is so wonderful to see you back at planDisney. One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World Resort is you will have a magical time whether you are 6 or 60! My grandmother did not take her first trip to Disney World until she was in her 80's and I think she had more fun than my boys did that trip.

The great news is, you will have a wonderful time no matter which Walt Disney World Resorts Collection you select. We have been lucky enough to stay at almost all of them and have found each one to be unique and perfect in its own way. The various resorts are categorized into 4 groups: value, moderate, campground, deluxe/deluxe villa with the value option being the most budget friendly and the deluxe option offering a wider selection of amenities. The resorts are also grouped by the theme park they are located closest to. When choosing your perfect resort, it is best to consider two things: (a) budget and (b) amenities you enjoy the most.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful choice, especially if you love animals, as it offers spectacular views of the savannas and hundreds of animals. The lobby is breathtaking! This resort however, is a little further from most of the theme parks and transportation times can run a little longer especially in the mornings or at theme park closing. Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are all Magic Kingdom resorts that are attached to the monorail system. If you are a Magic Kingdom girl and love the thought of being just steps from Cinderella Castle itself, these resorts are for you.

Our favorite resort location is the EPCOT resorts that sit on Crescent Lake - Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Yacht Club Resort. These resorts are all a short walk from the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and a delightful boat ride from Disney's Hollywood Studios. The resorts share a walking path along Crescent Lake and in the evenings you can stroll over to the boardwalk to enjoy a number of entertainment options. Out of all of these options, an adult favorite is Disney's Yacht Club. It offers New England charm with plenty of nautical touches - it is very elegant. It is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee while the sun rises or enjoy an end of the evening beverage while watching the lights dance across the lake.

I hope this helps with your selection and am confident it will be perfect no matter which choice you make. If I can help with any further planning questions, please stop back and see me

    With pixie dust,
