Are all of the resort pools open year round and are any heated? Possible to swim in early Feb?

    Hey Howdy Hey Meridith,

Thanks for stopping back to see me at planDisney. The great thing about visiting Walt Disney World Resort in February is you often experience smaller crowds and shorter wait times since most children are in school and families are not traveling as much. If you love the sun and heat, the one hiccup to a February visit may be the cooler temperatures.

February temperatures, in the Walt Disney World area, average around 75° F during the day and the mid to low 60s in the evenings. While some Guests may prefer higher temperatures before splashing around in their Disney Resorts Collection swimming hole, the great news is all Disney Resort pools are heated to approximately 82° and are open year round (as long as there are no storms or exceptionally cold weather in the area). I think you will find the water quite comfortable, however you may feel the chill when exiting the pool. We have always found that during the cooler months, the best time to enjoy the pool is early to mid afternoon when the sun is at its highest point and the temperature is usually at its peak.

Remember even during the cooler months, the Florida sunshine has been known to cause quite the sunburn, so be sure to lather up that sunscreen before splish-splashin the day away. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and see me

    With pixie dust,
