Are all resort pools still open and operating in winter months? Are there any that are heated? If so, what resorts are they located at. Are s’mores still offered? Movies after dark? How much do the activities change during this time.

    Richard,

Thanks for asking your questions to planDisney! It is always nice to see another visitor from the Hoosier State!

You have a lot of questions, so let me tackle them in order.

First off, yes, Disney Resort Hotels keep their pools open year-round. All of the Disney resort hotels heat their resort pools year-round to around 82 degrees (about 28 degrees Celsius). While they certainly do not reach hot tub temperatures, the added warmth usually is enough to take the chill out of the water, even on a cold day. We have only had one day ever at Walt Disney World where it was too cold for us to swim. And that was just one day out of an entire week.

Second, pretty much all the hotels offer both a campfire/S'mores activity, as well as Movies Under the Stars. You can see a list of all the resorts that host a campfire in the link above.

These activities are essentially permanent elements of a Disney Resort Hotel experience. What I love about them is that they help guests find out how much fun there is to have at Walt Disney World outside of the parks. A more leisurely evening at your hotel can be the perfect match for the more active park days, especially for younger guests.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
