Is any resort or park restaurant going to offer southern foods New Years Day...for Health...... black-eyed peas..wealth.....greens and good luck.....pork thanks

Hi Patricia! You're definitely a girl after my own heart! I'm too superstitious to let a New Year's Day pass without eating my black-eyed peas and greens, so I understand your need to find some at Walt Disney World. While I've seen some Disney restaurants release their New Year's Eve menus, I haven't yet seen a New Year's Day one that features those good-luck foods. We didn't receive details on the special Thanksgiving menus until shortly before the holiday, so we may have better information in a few weeks. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog where details on special holiday menus are often posted. In the meantime, I think your best bets for finding such a New Year's Day menu would be at restaurants that serve southern foods: Trails End at Fort Wilderness or the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. Boatwright's at the Port Orleans Resort may also be a good option since the regular menu there has collard greens.

Wishing you lots of luck, wealth, and health in the New Year! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
