Hello there, Beth! Welcome to the wonderful world of planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and allowing us to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a classic Disney Resort hotel that opened all the way back in 1971 and evokes the relaxing spirit of the South Pacific through its rich theming. Beginning Fall 2020, this charming Disney Resort hotel will be receiving a
resort-wide refurbishment that will bring an all-new, refreshing spin to the feeling of aloha found throughout the resort! Enhancements will be seen across the resort in areas such as the Grand Ceremonial House, garden features, and Guest rooms. Currently, it is anticipated that these refurbishments will be completed by summer 2021.
While the Grand Ceremonial House receives its own dash of pixie dust, the
Disney Monorail station located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be closed for a short period of time. However, you do have some options to travel between the Disney Resort hotels located on the Monorail line!
The trick to traveling to
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is first finding your way over to the
Magic Kingdom! This can be done by either taking
bus transportation directly from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the Magic Kingdom or by walking over to the Transportation and Ticket Center and receiving a ride to the Magic Kingdom via
water transportation. Once you make it to the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is just a quick walk away!
Alternatively, you may also use a ride share service to receive a direct ride to your destination. This may be a good option if you have plans directly before your dining reservation!
Regardless, I hope you have an absolutely magical time dining at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other Walt Disney World Resort vacation questions for you as well!
