Are all the resort hotels going through renovation/Construction ? We are going on Disney cruise April 15, I was trying to book a stay for April 13-14, but I’m confused about renovation notices

    Hi Pia,

Disney World believes in the motto of always moving forward and continuing to innovate. This leads to having some of the best resort hotels in the world. They are also great about not doing this all at once so it is easy for guests to avoid renovations or constructions if they want to.

During April of this year, the following resorts are undergoing some sort of refurbishment or construction: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, and Disney's Boardwalk Inn. If you are looking to completely avoid any construction then I would avoid these hotels.

If what you are looking for is a quiet resort experience, I highly recommend Disney's Wilderness Lodge. It is a beautifully themed resort that mimics the feel of the American West. You will feel immersed in a serene environment with tons of trees and views of the lake but you are still super close to the magic. Another great option is Disney's Yacht Club Resort. I just recently stayed here and enjoyed to convenience of walking to EPCOT and utilizing the water taxis to get around. The food and amenity options are also fabulous at this resort.

While you are searching through the available options for your trip, simply click on the resort hotel that piques your interest and there will be a notice if renovations are ongoing. For example, when you choose Disney's Polynesian Village Resort there is a red caution sign at the top under the image. You can click to see details and you will be given a detailed account of the ongoing construction that may interfere with your stay.  If the resort you have chosen does not feature this caution sign then you are good to go!

    Happy Planning
