    We will be resort hopping this summer, 2 different resorts for DVC and then we are paying for the last 3 days at moderate. Will we get a new magic band for each resort and how do we connect all this into our disney experience? We will by 10 day PH

    “Welcome Home,” and thanks for visiting the Disney Vacation Club Moms here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I too have a split stay with my upcoming Disney Vacation Club trip for February. A new set of Magic Bands is generated with each new reservation number. This means you will be getting three sets of Magic Bands for your resort hopping extravaganza.  The good news is that all three sets will be interchangeable. Each band should open each of your resort rooms, and function as your park ticket at any time during your trip. All three sets will also show up autoMAGICally in your My Disney Experience account, as long as you have your resort reservations and ticket media linked in.

    Depending on how many people there are in your party, this could mean a lot of Magic Bands! I have a few options for you. You can personalize all three sets, and you could then have a different band to wear depending on your mood or attire.  This is what we did. I have a pink Magic Band to use on most days, but I will be running the Princess Half Marathon as Ariel, so I personalized one in green to wear on race day.

    You could also personalize them and pack one set for your trip, and leave one or two sets at home. My daughter loves to play with hers, and wear them as jewelry.

    The last option is to personalize just one set. If you do not personalize or confirm shipping address on the other two sets, they should be delivered to your resort front desk to be given to you at check-in. When you check-in to your second and third reservations, you can let the Cast Member know you do not need your Magic Bands, and they can be sent back for recycling.
