To the resort hoppers: we can stay at CBR 6 nights OR 4 nights at ASMu then 2 nights at AKL w/ BB, savanna view(my daughter's dream). Is it worth it (in your opinion) just for 2 nights? Thanks!!

    Susan,

It depends.  How much time will you be spending at the resort?  If you decide to resort hop for the Animal Kingdom Lodge experience, then you'll want to plan into your schedule a lot of resort time.  It's only worth it if you are really there to experience it!

Also, how much will you miss things like a coffee maker or refrigerator in the room at All-Star Music?  Or the waterslide at the pool (values don't offer them)?

If you're ok with transferring the luggage, losing some amenities while at a value resort, and you'll have the time to spend at AKL, then I would definitely say go for it!  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of our favorite Disney resorts.  It is beautiful, very unique, and has really great dining.  The savannah view rooms are incredible.  I am constantly delighted by having my morning cup of coffee on the balcony with a giraffe grazing nearby.

And really, let's face it - if that is your daughter's dream, it's totally worth it.  We do a lot of crazy things for our kids, and I'm sure this isn't the first, or the last, or the biggest hassle you'll go through, just to put a smile on her face.  I have three princesses myself, so I speak from experience!
