We want to resort hop but have no clue what to do. We have 1 day. Can we see characters at resorts? Looking for things to keep the littles occupied but us to enjoy too! Highest recommended treats, coffee or hidden gems!! We’ve done the monorail loop before

Greetings, Allison, and welcome aboard planDisney Flight 143 with nonstop service to my top recommendations for a resort hopping day. This is Scott (your captain) typing, and I'll be glad to help you navigate snacks, beverages, and entertainment for your crew. We will be taking to the skies on the Disney Skyliner, so fasten your seat belt, make sure your tray table is in its full, upright, and locked position, and prepare for takeoff. Next stop: your answer.

Our journey begins at your Disney Resort hotel, which might be on the Skyliner route. If it is, you can start there on this itinerary and make your way to the other locations. If not, hop on a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and take a short walk to the Skyliner station. Climb aboard and head toward Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. When you arrive at the station, transfer to a gondola heading toward Disney's Riviera Resort. That will be our first stop for this itinerary.

Disembark from your gondola and head toward the lobby at Riviera to enjoy some of the finest coffee and snacks at Disney World. If you have yet to caffeinate for the day, stop by Le Petit Cafe for your favorite coffee, then grab some of the legendary banana bread. If you're seeking the famous Riviera cookies or more substantial breakfast fare, try Primo Piatto. If both time and budget allow, consider the character breakfast at Topolino's Terrace. When you've finished your selected breakfast, spend some time exploring the grounds, pin trading, and simply enjoying the amazing views and ambiance of the resort. When you're ready, go back to the Skyliner station and head toward EPCOT.

You'll enjoy a bird's eye view of the France pavilion as you glide into the International Gateway station at EPCOT. When you exit the station, turn right and make your way to Disney's BoardWalk. There are restaurants and shops to peruse here, in addition to a large green activity lawn where kids can get their wiggles out, run, chase, and have a blast. You can rent a four person Surrey bike for family fun, or walk about ten more minutes to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf to play a round together. Lunch may be calling your name after these activities, and I highly recommend Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Opt for the Classic Dog with peanut butter dip, or try the comically large Giant Mozzarella stick. Each of these options is served with chips, and you can pop into the BoardWalk Deli to either purchase or refill your resort refillable mug. Follow the path around the lake to Disney's Beach Club Resort, and explore the ice cream offerings at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. There is a to-go window here, so you won't need a reservation or to commit a lot of time to getting a sweet treat.

After this, you can get on the Skyliner back toward Caribbean Beach, or take a FriendShip boat to Hollywood Studios. Head to Caribbean Beach to explore that resort, or take in the larger than life Disney characters and decor at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or Pop Century Resort.

There's so much to see and do on this route, and I hope you have a wonderful resort day, Allison!

    Stay magical,
    Scott
