Hiya, pal! It's so great to welcome you back to planDisney, Laura. Your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is in single digits! Hot dog!
You will be at
Walt Disney World Resort soon after the new
Lightning Lane passes launch. I can't wait to get to the Most Magical Place on Earth and try them for myself.
I am glad you stopped by with this question. I saw a conversation on social media that led me to ask a Cast Member how passes work on the day you check out of a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I was told that as long as you have valid admission, which could be a date-based ticket or a ticket and theme park reservation if you need them (like an Annual Pass), you will be able to purchase Lightning Lane passes 7 days before your check-in date for the length of your stay, including your last day in the magic.
If you are purchasing a Multi Pass, you may want to look at the list of attractions before your 7-day window opens. In Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, attractions are divided into two groups. You can select one from one group and two (or all three) from the other group. Once you have enjoyed your first experience, you can make additional selections from either group or from any theme park (if you have a ticket with the
Park Hopper option).
I was also excited to learn
Virtual Queues are still available for several popular attractions. You can get a Multi Pass to jazz it up with
Tiana's Bayou Adventure and try for a Virtual Queue for a second drop on the day you visit the Magic Kingdom.
Oh boy! I hope the Lightning Lanes help you speed through some big fun on your trip to Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions, you know we are happy to see you here at
planDisney.
See 'Ya Real Soon!
