Hello there, Sarah!
Welcome to planDisney. I love exploring all the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, so consider me your personal tour guide.
I'm glad you've already secured a dinner reservation at
'Ohana. My family enjoyed breakfast there a few years back, but I hope to return one day to experience those famed wings, noodles and bread pudding at dinner. When you arrive at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort entrance gate, a Cast Member will
confirm your dinner reservation and direct you where to park. In my experience, a dining reservation usually allows for 3 hours of self-parking. They may not allow you to park hours ahead of your meal time, as other guests will also be arriving for reservations.
Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before your reservation, which will allow you time to park and check in for your reservation. You might have time for a quick loop on the
Monorail after dinner which will allow you to visit
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa before returning to your vehicle. The Monorail makes stops at each of the resorts along Seven Seas Lagoon and at Magic Kingdom Park, so you'll want to factor in loading and unloading time to your visit to stick within the 3-hour parking window.
If you'd like to enjoy a more leisurely touring schedule consider parking at The Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), the parking lot for Magic Kingdom Park, before your meal. This will come with a cost but will allow you to spend more time visiting the resorts. You can board the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian after you park and then complete the Monorail loop as indicated above.
You can keep your vehicle parked at the TTC and then take a bus from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's BoardWalk Inn or
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. These destinations are an easy walk from each other so you can visit both as you loop around Crescent Lake. You cannot park at any of these EPCOT area resorts without a dining reservation, but I have another suggestion.
Theme Park standard self-parking is good for the entire day, so hang on to your receipt, hop back in your car, and drive over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Parking will be valid there if you've already paid to park at the TTC that day. You can then board the
Disney Skyliner to EPCOT which will put you at the International Gateway entrance. From there, Disney's Yacht Club is about a 5-minute walk away. I recommend stopping to visit Disney's Beach Club Resort as well which is located right next door. If the Skyliner isn't your preferred method of travel you can also board a Friendship Boat from Hollywood Studios to Yacht Club. They make a quick stop at the Walt Disney World Swan hotel first, but the boat ride is a relaxing and scenic way to travel.
Depending on what time you have dinner you might want to flip your plans and park at Hollywood Studios first to tour the BoardWalk area resorts. You can then head over to park at the TTC for your meal and tour the Monorail area resorts. If you time it right you just might catch a glimpse of Magic Kingdom Park's fireworks at the end of the evening.
I hope this helps, Sarah. If I can offer any further planning assistance please don't hesitate to come back and let me know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
