Hiya Michael,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your question about dining plans at Walt Disney World. Every time my family and I visit Disney World, we spend a lot of time deciding if the dining plans are right for us. Sometimes, it is a no-brainer, while other times, we decide it doesn't make sense. We knew we couldn't pass it up when Walt Disney World released its
summer package deal that included a free dining plan (for select resort hotels).
With both the
Disney Dining Plan and the Quick Service Dining Plan, the amount of meals and snacks you get is determined by the number of nights you are staying at the resort hotel. So, if you are staying 6 nights, as you mentioned, you should expect to see your meals allocated for 6 nights, not by the number of theme park tickets you have.
Before I let you go, Michael, can I give you some recommendations for dining on your non-park days? I personally love dining at the resort hotels more than I do dining in the theme parks. Some of the best food can be found at the various locations. If you love character dining, I highly recommend checking out
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. It is one of my favorites because of the delicious food choices and the ability to interact with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen. I also really love having brunch over at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. I have many more recommendations for food (It is my main priority when I visit the Most Magical Place on Earth), so feel free to come back and see me if you would like any more.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
