Howdy Anouska!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your summer adventure to the
Most Magical Place on Earth.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge will be an excellent spot to call home for your holiday. It feels like stepping right into one of America's National Park lodges; the immersive theming is incredible. Let's talk about traveling from the rustic elegance of your resort to the theme parks.
While Disney's Wilderness Lodge feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of
Magic Kingdom Park, it's one of the closest resorts to this theme park. Bus transportation is available to the main entrance, and motor coaches depart approximately every 20 minutes from a bus stop just outside the main lobby. You can check bus arrival times from the "My Resort" section of the My Disney Experience mobile app. In my experience, most of the time, buses go directly to Magic Kingdom Park. Occasionally, during off-peak transportation hours, you may share with Guests staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, but theme park buses stopping at this resort only make one stop at the Outpost just inside the entrance, so you don't need to worry about making a complete loop around the campground.
Walt Disney World Bus Transportation is constantly changing and sometimes has to alter its course to meet Guest needs, so while a direct bus is the most likely scenario, it's best to be prepared for modifications.
The most scenic transport at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the
water taxi to Magic Kingdom Park. This relaxing boat departs approximately every 20 minutes from a dock near the
Copper Creek Springs Pool. If our room is near the feature pool, we prefer walking to the marina rather than the bus stop to reach Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this is helpful, Anouska! Have a fantastic time on your wilderness holiday, and be sure to enjoy at least one meal at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill during your stay. The al fresco, casual dining spot is one of my family's favorite resort restaurants. Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" soon!
Have a bibbidi bobbidi beautiful day,
Betsy
