Hi Kathleen! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!
It's nice to see another Guest from Massachusetts here at planDisney! I'm sure your foliage is looking as bright and beautiful as mine but I would still rather be at
The Most Magical Place on Earth instead! With all the excitement of the holidays coming up you'll be packing to head down to Walt Disney World Resort before you know it!
No matter which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel you're staying at this trip I just know you're going to be happy and comfortable with your accommodations.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is one of my family's favorites for many reasons but the top two are definitely the relaxing boat ride to
Disney Springs and (of course!) the Mickey-shaped beignets from
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe!
While you're certainly welcome to spend some
time on the water taking a breezy and beautiful boat ride from one Resort to Disney Springs, there is not a direct route along the water to get you from
Disney's Old Key West Resort to Port Orleans - French Quarter. However, you're certainly welcome to take that quick jaunt to Disney Springs and transfer boats to complete your journey. Being so close to all the action, you also always have the option of taking the boat for half of your journey and then jumping on a
Disney Bus.
No matter your preference I like to plan for at least an hour of transportation time between Disney destinations, especially if you're trying to get to something with an important arrival time like an
Advance Dining Reservation. You can also use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to help you plan your transportation options around the Resort. After opening the app, click the second icon from the bottom to be taken to an interactive map. Here, you can type in where you are and where you're going to see all your options as well as approximate transportation times for each.
I hope you have a wonderful stay, Kathleen!
