Hi Rebecca!
The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort in all of Walt Disney World! There is so much to do for all ages at the lodge that you're sure to have a great time.
Be sure to ask for a calendar of events at check-in or at the lobby
concierge. This guide lists all of the events going on during your stay
at the Lodge.
Here are a few of my kids favorites:
- Cookie Decorating at Roaring Forks- A fun
activity for all ages (yes, even I have decorated one!). This free
activity is held most afternoons and is a fun, and yummy treat!
- Duck Races are often held near the pool area. Kids get to race Rubber Duckies down the small stream that runs down to the pool.
- Movies on the Beach are held most evenings (weather permitting) on the Wilderness Lodge beach. Check out a Disney flick and relax under the stars!
- For adults, I can highly recommend the Wonders of the Lodge
tour held many mornings starting in the lobby. You'll explore the
different floors of the lodge with a Ranger. Be sure to ask lots of
questions, he's full of knowledge!
- Pool activities are scheduled each day and are a great way to give kids a break from touring.
And, last but not least, if you'd like to take a boat ride over to Ft. Wilderness, the
Campfire Sing-Along with Chip and Dale
is a fun, free way to spend an evening with the characters! Smores kits
are available at the bonfire, but there is an additional charge for
those.
Hope this helps! Have a great time at the lodge!
