FL residents with a package with Park Hopper Plus tickets If we convert them to AP's, do we have to get the Platinum since our tickets had water parks on them? Or can we get a lower pass? And do we have to pay the full balance or can we do pmts?

Hello, Danielle! Thanks for bringing your question to the Moms Panel! Being a resident of the Sunshine State entitles you to special offers and discounts including being able to purchase the coveted Disney Gold Annual Pass (which is only available to Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members).

The good news is that since you have already purchased valid theme park tickets, you can upgrade these tickets to any Annual Pass of your choosing (it does not have to be the Platinum Pass) and take advantage of the Monthly Payment Program. The amount you paid for your Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket is the amount that will be applied to your Annual Pass purchase, and the balance will be divided into 12 equal installments that are billed automatically to your credit card on file. Upgrades from tickets to annual passes are not available online or via the phone at this time, so you'll need to visit any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location. If you have any questions, please call (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277.

Congratulations on becoming an Annual Passholder, Danielle! Don't forget that since you'll be visiting in September, you'll be eligible for discounts on some special ticketed events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Stop back and see us if we can help you again!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania! I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique. It's incredible how many people you can find who love talking about "The Most Magical Place On Earth!" I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
