Hello, We are fl residents and often purchase the 3/4 day discounted tickets when we visit. is there a duration in which our fl residency is valid after showing id? Sometimes we visit twice a year. Do we have to show ID every time?

Hey there, Lauren! Isn't it great to be able to take advantage of the amazing Florida resident discounts for Walt Disney World? I love that they are offered to guests who often overlook the amazing opportunity they have for family entertainment right in your own backyard!

Once you activate your Florida Resident discounted ticket, you shouldn't have to show proof of Florida residency again for that ticket. Unless there's a glitch at the entrance, where your ticket might have to be "reprogrammed", it's very rare that you will be asked for your photo ID again. Everything should be linked to your fingerprint in the biometric readers.

When the current ticket expires, however, you would need to prove Florida residency for future tickets, even if you purchase them in the same year as the prior tickets. The information isn't stored or transferred from old tickets to new tickets, so the process begins again.

If you aren't local to Orlando, always check for special hotel offers for Florida residents. Between ticket discounts and room discounts, a trip to Walt Disney World for Florida residents is much more exciting to think about!

    Happy planning, Lauren!
