Can a FL resident purchase and prove residency for annual passes for someone else as a gift?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hope! I’m excited to know that you are thinking about purchasing a Walt Disney World Annual Pass. With all of the special offers and events for passholders, the pass is a magical  gift that keeps on giving during every season of the year!

While it’s so generous for a Florida Resident to want to purchase theme park tickets or annual passes for other family members or friends, it’s just not possible. Unfortunately, guests who live out of the state of Florida, will not be able to use Walt Disney World Annual passes meant for Florida Residents.

That’s because, visitors over the age of 18 are required to show Proof of Florida Residency in order to activate theme park tickets and annual passes for Florida Residents.

Hope, out of state guests have two great options for Walt Disney World Annual Passes. The Disney Platinum Pass has no blackout dates, it includes Disney PhotoPass downloads, discounts on dining, merchandise and standard theme park parking is included. It’s everything you need to have a magical vacation! The Disney Platinum Plus Pass includes everything I mentioned, plus admission to Disney’s water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.

These passes can be a great value for your family, depending on how many times per year you choose to visit.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back to see us! It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical visit!
