I am a resident of Hawaii and planning to go to Walt Disney World next year. I heard that I would have to physically be in the United States in order to purchase the lightning lane muti pass. Is Hawaii geographically considered part of the United States?

    Hello friend!

Welcome to planDisney! I have good news for you! Since 1959, Hawaii has been an official state within the United States of America. This means that when you are in Hawaii, make sure your My Disney Experience Account has your country of residence set up to show that. Within your profile head to Account Settings and scroll till you see "Country/Region of Residence" and change it to United States. I think this needs to be fixed as your country code is currently showing as being from Japan which may affect your in-app purchases

The Disney Parks Blog announced some major changes to how guests access Lightning Lanes for so many attractions. All of this will go into effect on July 24 so it could change a bit by the time you arrive in January 2025, however, the main gist is that guests staying on-site at a Walt Disney World Resort can start planning with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass 7 days before your visit. All other guests can purchase these products 3 days in advance. I highly suggest prioritizing the attractions you wish to ride when using Lightning Lane Multi Pass as they could run out! Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be very popular and if it is a must-do make it your first choice when booking.

I hope this helps and you have a lovely time!

    Happy Planning!

So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
