Welcome to planDisney, Mary! I'm always happy to meet a fellow Floridian, and I love that you're considering joining the annual passholder family. The
perks and discounts are downright magical! I especially love that available discounts are automatically deducted when I
purchase food or
merchandise through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Let's look at ways to keep the magic going by becoming a passholder.
I chatted with a specialist at the annual passholder help desk, and she said that upgrading a one-day ticket to an annual pass will depend on the type of ticket you currently have. I suggest calling the
Annual Passholders line to discuss your options before your visit. Please be ready to share information about your party, your tickets, and the
annual pass you'd like to upgrade to. If the upgrade is possible, the friendly Cast Members will guide you through the process.
She added that if you upgrade your single-day ticket, the down payment and first monthly payment policies are the same, but the current ticket cost would be applied. You'd use a credit card to pay the balance, and that card would be used for future monthly payments.
Some policies to keep in mind would be that if you want to upgrade and set up monthly payments, you will have to do that in person at any
Guest Relations location. Since your visit is during the holiday week, you can only upgrade to an annual pass that isn't blocked out for those dates, and your pass activation date will start immediately.
Your upcoming holiday visit is sure to be merry, Mary! I hope you head to the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The
Holiday Cookie Stroll looks as fun as it is delicious!
Mary, thanks again for stopping by. I'm sending pixie dust and tinsel so you can join the passholder family soon.
