    We have reserved our trip for the Thanksgiving Holiday 2009, with our 4 year old.However, I just read about the current free meal plan (expiring in October). Do you think they will run any other specials for Thanksgiving, our should we rethink our trip?

    Hi Heidi,

    The free dining promotion that Disney is currently offering is a fantastic deal. We have taken advantage of this promotion for the last few years and love it! This is a tough one for me to answer as part of me says to change your travel dates and take advantage of the promotion, but the other half would hate for you to miss the amazing Christmas displays, decorations and events starting around Thanksgiving weekend.

    We unfortunately do not have any "insider information" about promotions or deals, so I do not know if there will be any similar offers for a November visit. I can tell you that Thanksgiving week is typically crowded so I would find it unlikely that Disney would offer a travel promotion, but I could be wrong. If history repeats itself, the answer would be that you will not see a deal offered during a holiday vacation.

    The deciding factor for you should be what you are looking for. If you have yet to experience the holiday decorations and events and that is first on your list, i would not change the dates. If you are watching your budget closely and the free dining promotion will help with this, then I would look into changing the dates. I would move quickly if that is your choice, as the free dining promotion is quite popular and many dates sell out quickly.
