Hello Holly!
Flight delays can be such a headache! I know last week for sure was challenging, and one airline, in particular, had many cancelations and delays. (My coworker got stuck in Florida!) At this point, I am sure you’ve already visited the theme parks, and I am sorry for this reaching you after the fact. Hopefully, you were able to chat with Guest Services about your ticket situation upon arrival.
Typically,
theme park tickets are non-refundable. However, the value paid for your ticket can usually be applied to the purchase of a new ticket. Ideally, I would advise someone in a similar situation to first
call ticketing, and not to purchase new tickets, since the first set is not refundable. Typically, your ticket date can be changed to the new date, and if the new date is a higher price point, you will just be charged for the difference. If the new date is a lower price, however, you will not receive a refund for that difference.
If a Guest ended up with two sets of tickets, I would recommend using them and spending your second day enjoying an alternate theme park if you had time during your trip. The other idea would be to save one set of tickets to apply towards a return visit in the future. I hope however it worked out, that you had a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!- Kate
