Welcome to planDisney, Darcy! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today.
The holiday season is my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World Resort. The Theme Parks and
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are magical every day of the year, but there's something special about that extra layer of Pixie Dust that gets sprinkled around that time of year that makes the festive season an awesome time for a memorable vacation. There is so much Christmas joy to take in, so let's chat about what's included with your Theme Park ticket around the holidays!
Darcy,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed special event, so your regular admission to
Magic Kingdom Park will not grant you access once the Theme Park closes at 6:00 PM for the Party to start. December 22 is the final Party night this year, and tickets are still available, so I recommend grabbing them if you want to check out the exclusive events and entertainment like
Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration and my favorite nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World Resort:
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.
If you're going to be at Magic Kingdom Park any other day between December 23 and the end of the year, you will be able to catch
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day! Between the 23rd and the 31st, the special Christmas parade that typically only takes place during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party does two daytime performances each day, so it might be worth moving your day at Magic Kingdom Park just one day later so you can see it for yourself!
I hope this answers your question, Darcy, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
Jessica
