Hello there, April! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping Guests get all the answers to their planning questions, so let's get you an answer!
As someone who loves visiting both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, I love experiencing both the similarities and differences of the parks. However, with Disneyland being my home away from home, I usually favor the Disneyland version. One of those versions happens to be character experiences. There currently are not any
character experiences where you can reserve a time for other than
character dining experiences. However, what I love so much about Disneyland Park is that you will see characters roaming around the park greeting Guests all throughout the day. Just last week, I walked onto Main Street, U.S.A., and saw Minnie, Chip, Dale, and Goofy in different locations offering photo opportunities for Guests. Then just a few steps away, Cruella de Vil was hoping on a Main Street vehicle hitching a ride with Guests towards the castle. A few hours later, my daughter stopped to say hi to Aurora who was walking through Fantasyland and we saw even more as the day went on.
While characters come and go throughout the parks, you will find both Minnie and Mickey in their respective homes in
Toontown and princesses rotate for meet and greets at
Royal Hall. My recommendation is to keep checking the
Disneyland app to see what character interactions you might be able to experience. Tap on the map and then at the top menu change it from "Attractions" to "Characters". There you can scroll the map to see your options or select "Show List" in the top right corner.
April, I hope your visit is full of character experiences and magical memories. We are here if you have any other questions along the way. See you real soon!
