If I reserve a theme park with a parkhopper plus, can I go to a water park instead of the park I reserved? Or do I have to leave that day unreserved to visit the water parks when they open?

Hello there, Eric! Welcome to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

My family and I love utilizing the Park Hopper add-on whenever we visit Walt Disney World Resort! This gives us the option of visiting more than one park per day which leads to even more fun in the theme parks! If you are also interested in visiting the water parks during your visit, you can purchase the Park Hopper Plus Option which gives you a certain number of admissions to the water parks based on the number of days on your theme park ticket. So, for example, if you have purchased a three-day theme park ticket with Park Hopper Plus, you will have three admissions to a water park during your stay.

You are certainly welcome to change your plans last minute during your visit! That being said, if you do not intend on entering the theme park you have reservations for, be sure to cancel your reservations. This way, you are not taking up a spot in a park you do not plan on visiting. You are also welcome to keep your theme park reservation and visit it later in the day after you have visited the water park! So, to answer your second question, you do not have to have an “unreserved day” to visit the water parks. Just make sure you utilize your reservation at some point during the day if you do not cancel it!

My pro-tip for visiting the water parks is to always reserve a locker for your visit! This is the perfect place to store all of your belongings while you enjoy all of the aquatic attractions!

I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as well!
