Is there a way to reserve a table for 4 and 5 and request them be close to each other

    Hey there, Katie!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It looks like you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth today! The only thing better than enjoying a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is experiencing it alongside the people you love. I'd be happy to help you create magical memories together over a meal!

Katie, I think you have a great strategy planned. If a Guest is booking a dining reservation for a larger party, sometimes, it's best to break the large group into two smaller parties to view greater availability. Some restaurants can accommodate larger parties more easily than others, based on size and location. While not guaranteed, it may be possible for your party to be seated together once you arrive at the dining location. I've been fortunate to have requests like this accommodated, and I'm happy to share recommendations on how to increase the chances of making this happen:
    • Arrive at the dining location early. I encourage you to arrive (with your entire party) about 15-20 minutes before your reservation time.
    • Speak with the Cast Member at the host stand. Let them know that you've booked two reservations but would like to be seated as one large group, if possible. Of course, this goes without saying, but be kind.
    • Be prepared to wait a bit longer if the Cast Member indicates the request can be accommodated. It may take a while for the restaurant to prepare for a party larger than they'd planned for.
I hope this information helps you to feel prepared going into your dining reservation, Katie. I'm crossing my fingers that your travel party will be able to enjoy a delicious and memorable meal all together! If you have any additional questions throughout your stay, you're always welcome to revisit us right here at planDisney. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
