Thank you for coming to planDisney to ask your question, Roslyn! Planning a split stay at Walt Disney World Resort sounds like so much fun! Yes, you can plan a split-stay vacation online, you will just need to do it in two steps. It will actually be two reservations.
When booking on the
Walt Disney World website, plan your first resort stay, select your room and when you go to tickets, add your multi-day ticket. You’ll notice on the screen under the ticket selection, a box that says “Important Multi-Day Ticket Details”. Here, it tells you that your ticket is valid for the amount of days plus a few more from the first day of your ticket. You will be able to put $200 down to lock in this reservation.
Then, go back in and make your second reservation for your selected WDW Resort as a room-only reservation. Since it is a separate reservation, you will have to put an additional deposit equal to the cost of one night. Doing your reservation this way will give you the optimal savings for your Walt Disney World vacation.
When you are at Walt Disney World on your split-stay vacation, you can pack up your bags on the final morning at your first resort and have Bell Services transfer them to your second resort that day while you enjoy the theme parks! Keep in mind that they will only transfer your luggage and non-perishable food items.
Also, don’t forget to add the
Memory Maker option to your vacation package. This will give you ALL of the photos taken by the PhotoPass photographers, attraction photos, and any photos taken at dining locations. Did you know that there are thirteen attractions that feature a PhotoPass photo? My favorites are inside the Haunted Mansion and as you launch on
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster! You can also ask the photographers for "magic shots" and see what shows up!
I hope you enjoy your Walt Disney World vacation! Please come back and ask us any more questions that should arise as you continue to plan.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
