Can I reserve a 7am Rise of the Resistance boarding group from a hotel in Daytona Beach? The website states a guest can join if they have tickets, a park reservation and are "nearby" wdw resort. Is Daytona Beach considered "nearby"?

    Welcome to planDisney Troy,

The Resistance is calling and the time has come to take on The First Order. All new recruits, aka Guests, need to have a valid ticket and park reservation for the day of battle, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Also, make sure everyone is linked together, in your Family & Friends list, before attempting to join. This is done via your My Disney Experience profile.

To join the FIRST boarding group, for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Guests are no longer required to be on or in Disney’s Hollywood Studios property. It is not unheard of, for Guests, to be further away than recommended and successfully join the virtual queue. Be sure to sign in, on your My Disney Experience mobile app, to access the virtual queue. Only one person, in your party, should attempt. At 7:00 a.m. May the Force Be With You and you are successfully recruited. Another recruit attempt can be made at 1:00 p.m. but ONLY if you are within Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I do hope your secret mission is successful and your adventure, to take on The First Order, is one to remember. If planDisney can help you with any further top-secret tasks, feel free to ask, we are up for the challenge.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
