Hi Dan!
Welcome to planDisney! A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is always more magical with family and friends. We typically travel with my parents or other family members and so group travel is one of my specialties!
You’ll be happy to know you can book your own
Disney Park Pass Reservations now, and you or your friends can make theirs later. Your group doesn’t have to be all on the same Park Pass Reservation. For example, for my family’s upcoming Walt Disney World trip in February, since my husband and I are
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, our reservations are booked together. My children, however, will be using regular park tickets. Since you cannot book two different types of ticket media on one reservation, my three kids are on a second, separate reservation. When it is time to go to the parks or use a virtual queue, these separate reservations are meaningless and not a problem at all. There is no reason we need to all be on the same Disney Park Pass Reservation.
I will give one word of caution though. Disney Park Pass Reservations can book up. For example, the holidays next month have many days of limited or no park availability. Friends don’t let friends procrastinate, Dan! Go ahead and make your reservations, but don’t let your friends wait until the last minute to make theirs. I’d hate to see them blocked out due to lack of availability.
I hope this alleviates some of your concerns, Dan. Wishing you a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!- Kate
