Do you still have to reserve your park visits in April 2022? When you purchase parkhopper tickets can you reserve at the same time far in advance?

    Felix,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

So yes, the Theme Park Reservation system is still in place, and certainly seems like it will be so through April of 2022. In fact, it appears to be a fairly permanent addition to the Walt Disney World experience. You can secure those selections right when you purchase your theme park tickets, and I recommend you do so at that time. You should see links right there on that reservation page to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability by date, park, and ticket type.

    The three ticket types are

    1. Theme Park Tickets - this applies to someone with standard theme park tickets who likely is not staying at a Disney Resort hotel
    2. Select Resort Hotels - this selection is for ticket holders staying at Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels
    3. Annual Passes - Obviously this choice is for Annual Pass holders

    BONUS TIP
When you buy your tickets and make your theme park reservations, your itinerary is not set in stone. You can change the park of choice for any given day right up until the day before any park visit if there is availability. So don't let your initial choices feel too locked in.

    BONUS TIP #2
Make sure you have your My Disney Experience app ready to go when you are in the parks. You can see all your Theme Park Reservations there, and there are many other great tools that will help you in the parks. One of my favorites is the Mobile Online Ordering feature that lets you order your food before you are even at the restaurant, saving you so much time.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
