Hi Mary!
Welcome to planDisney! We’ve been in this exact situation plenty of times when we travel to Disney World with our whole family, so I’m happy to help you out!
As long as you are linked through your
Family & Friends List and everyone in your party has a valid park ticket linked to their own My Disney Experience account, you’ll be able to book Lightning Lanes for your whole travel party (up to 20 people) – even if the accounts are managed by someone else.
As you go through the booking process, you will confirm your party by clicking the eligible members from that list who you want to book Lightning Lanes for.
I always like to double-check that I’m connected to everyone before my Lightning Lane booking window opens. To do that, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner of your
My Disney Experience app, scroll down to Account and click Profile, then click Family & Friends List at the top of the page.
If you don’t see your whole travel party listed, you can add a guest by following the prompts on the screen. Once the guest is added, they’ll receive an email to accept your invitation.
As a reminder, if you have anyone under 3 years old in your travel party, they will not need a park ticket or
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. They’re free of charge!
On your park day, you’ll be able to book another Lightning Lane every time you scan into one (pending availability). Each time you book a Lightning Lane, you can choose who you want to book the Lightning Lane for. So if your party wants to split up to go to different attractions, you’re more than welcome to do that!
It looks like your trip is getting closer! I hope you enjoy every second. And if any other questions pop up during your countdown, we’re always happy to help here at planDisney!
