how do I reserve an ELC for our vacation?

Hiya, Kathy! Welcome to planDisney where we love helping guests prepare for their Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Yours will begin soon, and it sounds like you're interested in renting an Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) while you're here. Let's look at some options to have you whizzing around the theme parks with ease!

One option is to rent an ECV at the theme park entrance each day of your visit. These are available on a first-come basis, but there are typically several at each park. I recommend being at the park when it opens to ensure you can rent one. Remember that the rental can't be taken outside the location, but you can hang on to your receipt to pick up another one if you hop to a different park that day.

If you'd like to always have an ECV or scooter with you, your best bet is to contact ScooterBug for a length-of-stay rental. This Disney Featured Provider can drop your equipment off at your Disney Resort hotel. You can call ScooterBug Orlando for pricing and equipment options; their number and email are on the ECV Rentals page on the Walt Disney World website.

Be sure to check out the Services for Guests with Mobility Needs information. You can learn about navigating parking, attractions, and more to help make your visit smooth sailing! I visited in a wheelchair a few years ago and was impressed with how much help the Cast Members provided on the rides. You'll find that queues and boarding procedures vary, so please ask any Cast Member for assistance.

Kathy, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and hoping for a practically perfect trip. And if I misunderstood your question, please stop by again; I'd love to help!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
