If we want to reserve a character meal that is located inside a park, do we have to have tickets to get into park. For example, we were thinking about doing the Askerhaus Princess meal, but we do not want to use a day of tickets at Epcot.

    Hi, Paige!

Character dining is a favorite activity of many guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort. My family does at least one character meal every time we visit! On a recent trip last month we enjoyed Donald's Dining Safari at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park - the buffet and theming are incredible and it's a lot of fun to meet the characters in their safari gear!

You will need to have theme park admission to dine at a restaurant located inside a park. If you would like to experience the Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (highly recommended!) in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, I suggest planning your itinerary around your reservation so that you will tour Epcot the same day as your dining reservation. An alternative would be to add on the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets so that you can visit more than one park each day. For example, many guests like to have the Park Hopper option so that they can tour one park during the day and then hop over to Epcot's World Showcase to dine in one of the wonderful restaurants located there.

I hope this helps! Wishing you a magical vacation - and bon appetit!
