Hi Carol,
Welcome to planDisney! Life is the bubbles here, and we are glad you are part of our world.
You must be thrilled to have a Disney Cruise Line vacation coming up, and it sounds like you are already working on the whosits and whatsits of your
Port Adventures. When the ship pulls into port at
Nassau, Bahamas, it is a sight to behold as the vessel backs into its berth. It's an adventure all its own!
Your question is a great one; a cabana would be a nice touch for your day at Atlantis Resort. I confirmed with Disney Cruise Line that you must reserve a cabana directly with the resort. You can try contacting them ahead of your trip or wait until your arrival.
Carol, did you know cabanas are available for an extra fee at
Disney Castaway Cay? They would make even Ariel's friend Sebastian enjoy life in the human world! There are a limited number of cabanas available on Castaway Family Beach and the adult-exclusive Serenity Bay. The cabanas book up quickly, but I recommend that you keep checking the website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as your cruise approaches and stop by the Port Adventures Desk when you board the ship to be placed on a waiting list in case a cabana opens up. You never know when one of your fellow cruisers will decide the seaweed is greener somewhere else!
It won't be long until you'll be devotin' full time to floatin' on the sea, Carol! Please flip your fins back to planDisney again with your questions.
Wishing you many magical moments at sea,
Shannon
