Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Denise! Hitting the Water Parks during a summer trip to Walt Disney World Resort is a great way to beat the Florida heat. Whether you're a thrill seeker (Summit Plummet, anyone?) or someone whose primary goal on vacation is to relax by the pool,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks offer something for everyone!
It's probably no surprise that the water parks are the most popular during the warmest months. Premium reserved seating options are a smart choice and ensure that your day is made in the shade. Both the Lodge Umbrellas at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon's Getaway Glen Umbrellas can be reserved in advance by calling (407) 939-7529.
I understand your dilemma, Denise, as my kiddos would much rather spend time on the slides than relaxing on a lounge chair. I spoke with a Cast Member today who said that for five people, you would need to book two sets of beach chairs, however, if one (or more of the children) in your party is of toddler age, they will note this in your reservation and allow you to book one. You may want to consider booking a cabana, which can seat up to six people comfortably. I reserved a Beachcomber Shack when my family of five visited Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and it was worth the splurge! Take a look at the
Guide Maps to get an idea of where the reserved seating is located.
Denise, the
Disney Parks Blog has informative articles about the water parks that might interest you. Also, make sure to save room for some legendary mini donuts!
