Should I make reservations for two character dinings in one day? I have reserved a breakfast for 9:50 am at Cape May Cafe and dinner for 9:10 pm at Cafe Mickeys. Is it a good idea to do this or not? I am trying to figure out the best way to do dining.

Hi Shawn! A lot of us here at the Moms Panel would tell you that you can never see too much of Mickey and friends! Whether you'd want to dine at multiple character meals during the same day depends on how much time you want with the characters and how much you love buffets. You'll likely see many of the same characters at the Cape May breakfast and Chef Mickey's dinner. Although the food will be different since one's serving breakfast and one's serving dinner, they're both buffets and some people may find eating at multiple buffets in one day to be too much food. While I would enjoy dining at both of those restaurants during my Disney vacation, I don't think I'd want to do them both on the same day. My family will often eat three sit-down meals a day at Disney World, but generally only one of them each day is a character meal or buffet. Unless your family is crazy for characters or really loves the broad variety and all-you-care-to-eat aspect of buffets, I think one character meal per day is a good rule of thumb. I'd recommend you have breakfast at Cape May one day and dinner at Chef Mickey's on another. If you're looking for other fun table-service meals on those days, consider breakfast at Whispering Canyon, where the servers' antics will keep you laughing, lunch at Chefs de France where Remy has a habit of appearing tableside, or dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater where you'll eat in cars while watching campy drive-in movies.

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
