I have reservations for two at the California Grill and the Disney Dining Plan, but I was wondering if it's better to use the two table service per person or just pay directly. I don't eat much and normally don't get dessert.

    Hi Sarodge,

This is a great question! When you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you receive meals on the length of stay of your trip. This means if you are at the Walt Disney World Resorts for seven days, you will receive seven snacks, seven counter service and seven table service meals on the Basic plan. The other plans work the same way.

However, if you do not arrive until late the first day or are leaving early on your last day, you still have those options to use. This is where you pick up the extra table service option you need to eat at the California Grill. With you living in California, it should be easy for you to do this.

This is the beauty of the Dining Plan. It allows you to determine when and how you want to eat your meals. So if you want to use all of your snacks or table service meals on day one, go for it but you need to pay out of pocket later on your trip.

Remember the number of options is based per person per day. You also receive a receipt after each use of the Dining Plan so you know where you stand.

Enjoy eating at one of my favorite restaurants!
