We are about to make our reservations for our 2017 trip to DW! Woo-hoo! Do you know what size the murphy bed is, in the Caribbean Beach rooms?

Hi, Lauren! Several Walt Disney World Resorts, including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, have undergone enhancements in the past couple of years to add a pull-down Murphy bed to the sleeping accommodations in some rooms. These beds are slightly smaller than a traditional twin-size bed, measure around 64" long x 30" wide, and are built into the storage area of the room. In most instances, you will find the bed tucked into a cabinet below the room's television. Lauren, I do want to share with you that most rooms in your choice of Resort hotel will be equipped with this bed, but notably are not found in the Pirate rooms.

Our younger daughter was so excited that we were able to stay in a room outfitted with one of these beds. As soon as she entered the room, she declared it her "tiny princess bed" and refused to allow the rest of us, her loyal subjects, to even sit on it! I have a good nighttime planning tip for you. There are three storage drawers that will be directly underneath the Murphy bed when it is folded down. Make sure you do not put anything important that you may need during the night in those drawers. I made the mistake of putting pajamas in one and did not get them out before the "tiny princess" went to sleep. Trust me, you never want to wake a sleeping princess!

I hope this information helps you while planning your stay at Walt Disney World Resort. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
