Hey there, Harry! Welcome to
planDisney!
The short answer, Harry, is that as of right now, you can make
dining reservations 60 days in advance. There is a bit of an advantage because you are staying at one of the
Disney Resort Collection Hotels. Resort guests can make reservations 60 days in advance of their arrival, and you can make reservations for the length of your stay, up to 10 days.
Thanksgiving day is November 24, 2022, so if you are making those Thanksgiving reservations, 60 days before that is September 25th. If you arrive earlier in the week, you'll want to calculate your 60-day window based on your arrival date. Google is great at doing that for you.
Harry, I just want to give you a tip, since you'll be celebrating some pretty big milestones during your trip to
Walt Disney World. Because you'll be visiting during a pretty busy week, use your 60+10 days advantage. Make your dining reservations for the days towards the end of your trip first, and definitely make Thanksgiving dinner reservations a priority. Some of the restaurants will offer special options for Thanksgiving, but
all of the restaurants are busy on Thanksgiving day.
For some of your special meals, Disney offers some excellent signature dining. My family loves
Jiko - The Cooking Place at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The filet mignon is a must-do from this delicious menu. The new
Steakhouse 71 at
Disney's Contemporary Resort has one of my favorite appetizers anywhere - the bacon and eggs. Oh so good.
I hope your family has an absolutely wonderful time celebrating, Harry!
