We have reservations to stay at All Star Sports next month. However, I read a few reviews that said All Star Sports was the least favorite of the Disney resorts. Can anyone comment and/or compare the Value Resorts? Which is the favorite? Thank You.

    Hi Judy,

I have stayed at All Star Music and All Star Sports and I liked them both. While the rooms are a tiny bit smaller then a Moderate, I think they are a great value for the money. The pools are themed well and are fun. The food court serves the same items you would find at other resorts including the Grand Floridian.

In my opinion, the difference between the most expensive room at the Walt Disney World Resort and the least comes down to details as well as speed to the parks. While a room at a Deluxe might have colored tiles in the shower, a Value might go straight white. Both will have themeing that match the overall resort them. You also might find slightly nicer toiletries and towels and bedding at a Deluxe but again I personally do not go to resort for the bedding or toiletries.

The other difference is the time and type of transportation it takes to get into any of the theme parks. If you are at a Deluxe you will have a monorail, boat or walk to at least one park except at Animal Kingdom which is all buses. At the Moderate or Value, you will be on buses. It will also take you longer to get to and from the resort to the parks in general.

When I pick a hotel, I base it on how long I am going to be at Disney as well as who is touring with me. If I have little ones who need a stroller or want to come back to the resort daily for naps, I am going Deluxe. With teens, I might stay further away for a longer trip.

I hope this helps you have a magical vacation!
