We have reservations to stay in a cabin at campground in Sept. No money left for golf cart and I don't think we can haul 6 bikes. If we brought Razor scooters would that work to get around? How about storage at boat dock or bus stop? Smooth enough paths?

    Hi Shawn,

There are well-paved paths at Fort Wilderness. From a recreational standpoint, using a scooter should be fine.

However, there's not really a good storage option for scooters. There are bike racks near the boat dock and near some of the transportation and recreation areas. You might be able to figure out a way to lock your scooter to a bike rack for security, but there are no lockers that would be large enough.

Remember that you can always use the internal bus system to get around Fort Wilderness. These run continuously throughout the day and are a great, free way to navigate the Fort.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
