Hi, Melissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
While
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is one of my absolute favorite live shows at Walt Disney World Resort, unfortunately it is not one where you'll find an opportunity to meet Characters or take photos with them. Currently, the only Character meetings at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort happen during the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch at
'Ohana (although I have seen Stitch getting into mischief on rare occasions in the Polynesian Resort's lobby).
Even without the Character encounters, though, you will absolutely love the island vibe of Luau Cove as Auntie Wini and crew put on a Show you'll remember for years to come! I find it impossible to resist singing and dancing along to some of my favorite Polynesian tunes or keeping my jaw off the floor as the fire knife performer takes the stage.
The last two times my family and I attended the Show, there was a
PhotoPass photographer on site to take our photos before we were seated--so make sure you have your MagicBand or PhotoPass card with you when you arrive!
Give yourselves plenty of time to check in and get settled before the Show begins, too. You'll want to check in at the desk in the lobby of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at least 30 minutes prior to Show time. Take the time to savor the sights, sounds and smells of Luau Cove, too! There are some wonderful photo opportunities along the grassy area and beachfront--especially if you're attending the early show and get to watch the sunset behind the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Enjoy the Show, Melissa!
