Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Joan. I'm so glad you stopped by! It's my pleasure to answer your question.
I'm sorry to hear that poor weather is putting a damper on your plans to visit
Magic Kingdom Park in a few days. As Winnie the Pooh would say, "Oh, bother!" You can certainly change your
Theme Park Reservations, pending availability. You first need to cancel your existing Theme Park Reservations that day before scheduling for an alternate date. Before canceling, though, I recommend viewing the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. You'll want to be sure there's availability for Magic Kingdom Park (or another theme park, of course) for the date you're hoping to reschedule for before you give up the reservation you currently have!
To cancel your existing Theme Park Reservation and book a new one, first log in to your
My Disney Experience account online. Hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab in the top right corner of the Walt Disney World Resort homepage. Click on "My Plans" from the drop-down menu. Scroll down your planning page until you see your Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park. Click on the "View Details" box. You'll see a blue hyperlink on the reservation information page that says, "Cancel This Reservation." If you're sure you're ready to cancel, go ahead and click that link. Once the reservation is canceled, you can begin to book a new Theme Park Reservation via the Disney Park Pass System.
If you decide to brave the inclement weather and keep your reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, be sure you go well-prepared. A poncho will be an absolute must! My fellow panelist,
Kathy, has some great suggestions and tips on how to weather any storm in the theme parks. Check them out!
I hope this was helpful, Joan. No matter when you decide to visit Magic Kingdom Park, I'm wishing you a day that's practically perfect in every way!
